Brut Nature 2018 · Champagne Louis Roederer

2018 was an exceptionally hot, dry and bountiful year - and remarkably healthy too. After an unusually wet winter, the spring was mild and stormy. The summer was particularly hot, dry and sunny, surpassing even the records set in 2003. The harvest was abundant and the grapes were in near-perfect health, resulting in elegant, fruity wines.

Tasting notes

This Rosé is fabulously fresh with a clean, vibrant fruit that reflects both the terroir and the infusion technique used to create it. Seductive and well-structured, it reveals a dense body with a bright, juicy, saline sensation and aromas of blood orange and tangy fruit, interwoven with sweet floral notes. The broad body, lifted by saline notes, is flavoursome and fleshy, giving one the impression of biting into a perfectly ripe and juicy fruit.

“This 2018 Brut Nature rosé shows great élan and irresistible charm! Seductive and well-structured, it offers a dense body and a saline, fresh and sapid finish.”
Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon,
Cellar Master

Ageing potential

Our champagnes undergo an extended period of ageing to allow them to gently evolve and mature, gaining in structure and depth, whilst developing highly nuanced aromas over the years.

You may enjoy them in the purity and chalky freshness of their youth or, if you appreciate more mature champagnes, wait a few more years or even decades for their candied, spicy notes to emerge. Our champagnes have a long future ahead of them and their destiny is in your hands!

Reviews

The World of Fine Wine (October 2025)

93/100

« A robust, phenolic, youthful palate, rejoicing in a sunny disposition but aware of the need for restraint and recalling its lack of sugar; poised and somewhat statuesque on the finish. Giacometti has been sharing a glimpse of Botero, but ultimately, and with no lack of dignity, he holds court. »

James Suckling (August 2025)

92/100

« This bone-dry rosé Champagne is crisp and taut, showing aromas of grapefruit, crushed stones, apples and a hint of nutmeg. It’s fresh and minerally, with tight bubbles and lots of tension. »
